📢 WORC announces appointment of two new Caymanian deputies

Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC), one of the busiest departments of the Cayman Islands government, has announced the appointment of two Caymanians to its leadership team. Allison Lovinggood has been appointed as the deputy director of business operations, a role she has been fulfilling since December 2022. Mervin Manderson, who has been acting as the deputy director of compliance, has now been officially appointed to the position. 🏢

Lovinggood's responsibilities include direct oversight of several critical operational areas such as Human Resources, Customer Care, Records Management, System Development and Support, and Operations. She will also be involved in policy development and implementation, compliance with legislation, and managing various programmes. Manderson, who began his career in 2007 as a trainee at the old immigration department, will provide strategic oversight of the Compliance Unit, ensuring compliance with the Immigration Transition Act and overseeing internal and external investigations. 📚
