Police in George Town have arrested a 26-year-old woman following an altercation at a bar on Eastern Avenue near Godfrey Nixon Way. The incident, which occurred around 4pm on Wednesday, reportedly involved a fight between a man and a woman, resulting in the man being stabbed. The couple fled the scene before police arrival, but the injured man was later found on Shedden Road and received first aid until an ambulance arrived. š
The man was taken to George Town Hospital for treatment for what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. After a search of the surrounding area, police located and arrested the woman suspected of the stabbing. She is currently in custody pending further investigation. The George Town Police Station is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. š
