👰 Wedding guest admits to drug smuggling

Yoojin Oh, a visitor from the United States who attended a wedding in the Cayman Islands, has pleaded guilty to importing over seven grams of cocaine. Oh was arrested at the airport with four small bags, each containing just under two grams of the Class A drug. The drugs were intended for personal use during her trip to the destination wedding. 🛬

Oh admitted to possessing and importing 7.2 grams of cocaine during her appearance via Zoom from HMP Fairbanks. Defence attorney Jonathon Hughes from Samson Law requested that the usual social inquiry report be waived in order to secure an immediate sentencing hearing. Oh was remanded in custody until her sentencing on Friday, 5 April. ⚖️
