🌴 US tourist dies after snorkelling incident in Cayman Islands

A 72-year-old tourist from Illinois, USA, tragically lost his life on Wednesday morning after a snorkelling trip in the Cayman Islands. The incident occurred off Cemetery Beach in West Bay. Emergency services were alerted around 11.30am and arrived at the scene to find the man receiving CPR from EMS and fire officers. 🚑

According to the police, the man was snorkelling with friends when they decided to head back to the shore. During this time, he got into distress. Bystanders on the beach assisted in bringing the man to the shore and commenced CPR until the arrival of emergency services. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor. 🏥
