The Cayman Islands Blood Bank is urgently calling for donations of O Positive and O Negative blood types as Hurricane Beryl approaches. The Blood Bank needs to ensure it is sufficiently stocked to handle any emergencies that may arise during and after the storm. Judith Clarke, Laboratory Manager at the Blood Bank, stressed the importance of the community's help in this critical situation. 🌪️

Donors are asked to donate at the Cayman Islands Blood Bank, located on the 2nd Floor of George Town Hospital. The Blood Bank is open from Monday to Wednesday, and on Friday from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Donors are reminded to be well-hydrated and have eaten before donating. The Blood Bank also encourages donors to spread the word to friends and family who may be eligible to donate. 🏥

Clarke expressed deep appreciation for the generosity of the donors and emphasized the importance of community solidarity in ensuring preparedness for any situation that Hurricane Beryl may bring.
