Two men from George Town have been charged with numerous criminal offences by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The charges are part of a complex and lengthy corruption investigation that has not been fully disclosed. The men, Maxwell Renal Linwood, a former public officer, and Omar Anthony Samuels, a private sector worker, are set to appear in court on June 26th.

Linwood is facing five counts including breach of trust, obtaining property by deception, involvement in a money laundering arrangement, acquiring criminal property, and transferring criminal property. Samuels is charged with obtaining property by deception and involvement in a money laundering arrangement. The ACC has not released any details about when the alleged offences took place or when the men were first arrested, and has stated that no further information will be released at this time.
