🚔 Two detained in West Bay for suspected drug offenses

Two individuals, a 51-year-old man from George Town and a 30-year-old woman from West Bay, were arrested on Monday after police officers discovered suspected drugs in their vehicle. The officers were patrolling Marie Mollie Hydes Road in West Bay when they noticed a vehicle partially blocking the road with two people inside behaving suspiciously. Upon searching the vehicle under the Misuse of Drugs Act, they found suspected cocaine, ganja, drug utensils, and a small quantity of oxycodone. 🚨

The pair were arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine, consumption of cocaine, possession of ganja, consumption of ganja, possession of a controlled drug, and consumption of a controlled drug. The woman was also detained in relation to a default warrant. The duo remain in custody as investigations continue. This arrest comes after previous operations at the same location, following community concerns about illegal and antisocial activities. 🏛️
