šŸš” Third man arrested in connection to football stadium shooting

A third man was arrested on Saturday, 9 March, in relation to the mass shooting that took place at the Ed Bush Stadium last month. The 21-year-old man from West Bay, where the shooting occurred during a premier league football match, has since been released on bail with conditions pending further investigation. Two other men, including the suspected lone gunman, have previously been arrested in connection to the shooting and have also been released on bail. šŸšØ

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) has increased visible patrols and deployed more officers from the Firearms Response Unit on the road in an effort to bring those responsible to justice. The police are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses to the gang-related violence. The incident saw seven people wounded when the shooter opened fire on a crowd of spectators during halftime. šŸš”
