A 27-year-old man from George Town, suspected of participating in a recent burglary and two armed robberies, was arrested after police tracked a stolen phone to his residence. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) reported that officers responded to a burglary report at a commercial property on South Church Street, George Town, on Thursday, 9 May, around 2:00pm. The stolen phone was tracked to a residential address in George Town, where the suspect was found along with the stolen goods and what appeared to be a firearm. The man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of an imitation firearm and was taken to the detention centre. The police also suspect the man's involvement in two armed robberies that took place last week at commercial premises in the capital.
