🚨 Suspected member of child grooming ring arrested in George Town

Police in George Town are investigating a suspected child grooming ring following the arrest of a 29-year-old man last month. The man was apprehended after a school liaison officer discovered communication between him and a young girl, leading to a sting operation at a local park. A subsequent search of a nearby home resulted in the discovery of three missing teenage girls. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) believes the arrested man is part of an organized group targeting young girls, and is appealing to the community for information.🔎

Superintendent Roje Williams condemned the behavior, stating it should not be tolerated in society. He emphasized its significant and often permanent impact on the young people involved and expressed concern over the moral breakdown demonstrated by adults participating in such activities. The police are currently investigating five more reports of missing persons, with indications that adult grooming of juveniles was a contributing factor in several cases.🚔
