🚨 Suspected burglar nabbed in George Town

A 27-year-old man from George Town has been apprehended by the police on suspicion of burglary. The arrest is linked to one of five commercial break-ins that took place around the waterfront and Central George Town between Sunday and Monday. In each instance, the perpetrator gained entry by breaking a glass door or window. The suspect was arrested on Sunday in connection with a burglary at a store on Hospital Road earlier that day. 🚔

The police believe that the arrested man may be connected to other recent commercial burglaries. He is currently in custody as investigations continue. However, the perpetrators responsible for the other four burglaries in the recent crime spree remain at large. 🕵️‍♂️
