Three men, known to the police as repeat offenders with drug and alcohol problems, were arrested last week in relation to a series of commercial burglaries at restaurants in George Town. Two of the men have been charged with a burglary at a South Church Street restaurant on May 12, while the third man has been charged in relation to a break-in at a North Church Street restaurant on May 22. One of the men is also under arrest for a late April burglary at another South Church Street restaurant. šŸ½ļø

Beyond these burglaries, each of the three men is also suspected of other theft incidents over the past few weeks. Detective Superintendent Peter Lansdown commented, "All three of these men are repeat offenders, affected by drugs and alcohol, who have previously been arrested and convicted for burglary, theft and related offences." He further stated that these latest incidents have once again negatively impacted local businesses and vowed to investigate and prosecute to the fullest extent possible. šŸš”

Among the arrested is a 48-year-old man from North Side, who appeared in court on May 23 and was remanded in custody. A 50-year-old man from Bodden Town is set to appear in court on Monday to answer the burglary charges. Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man from George Town remains in police custody as investigations into various allegations against him continue. šŸ›ļø
