👮‍♀️ Royal Cayman Islands Police Service launches recruitment drive

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) has initiated a recruitment campaign, inviting applications from young Caymanians interested in joining the force as constables. The recruitment drive is open to all Caymanians and permanent residents aged between 18 and 40. The move comes amid increasing demands on the police force due to a growing population. 🌴

Police Commissioner Kurt Walton highlighted the need for growth in the police service, noting that the number of sworn officers had only increased by ten since 2008, despite significant population growth and evolving crime challenges. He emphasized the rewarding nature of police work and encouraged interested individuals to apply. The RCIPS will be hosting open house events, in addition to traditional advertising, to provide potential recruits a firsthand perspective of police work. 🚓
