The Port Authority of the Cayman Islands (PACI) confirmed a worker was injured during an incident at the George Town cargo dock on Monday afternoon. The staff member reportedly broke a leg while unloading a container. The injured employee was quickly attended to by PACI and emergency services, and transported to the hospital for treatment. Port Director Paul Hurlston assured that the worker's injuries were not life-threatening. 🚑

This incident marks the second serious injury at the dock in the past month. On January 13, a port mechanic broke his ribs after falling. The incidents occur amidst concerns over aging equipment at the dock.
