🚨 Police seek witnesses to fatal and serious car crashes

After a series of serious car accidents over the holiday weekend, local police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Two major collisions occurred on Saturday, one involving a silver Chevrolet Colorado and a silver Honda Fit at Grand Harbour, and the other in Bodden Town, where a driver was killed after colliding with a concrete CUC pole. The driver of the Chevrolet has been discharged from hospital, but the driver of the Honda Fit remains in critical condition. 🚑

The first crash occurred around 1:45 am, with the Honda Fit traveling in the wrong lane and colliding with the Chevrolet truck. Both drivers were injured, but the driver of the Honda Fit sustained life-threatening injuries. Later that same day, at approximately 3 pm, a single-vehicle collision was reported on Bodden Town Road. The vehicle, a Ford F-350 delivery van for Islands Supply, veered off the road and hit a pole. The 50-year-old driver was extracted from the vehicle by the Cayman Islands Fire Service crew and pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released. The police have extended their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. 🙏

Both incidents are currently under investigation by the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit. Anyone with information is urged to contact 649-6254. 📞
