👮‍♂️ Police seek witnesses to beach brawl

Following a serious assault at the Seven Mile Public Beach on 17 December, the George Town Police Station is appealing to witnesses to come forward. The incident resulted in one man being hospitalised with severe lacerations to his head and hand, necessitating surgery. The police have noted that video footage of the brawl has been circulating on social media, indicating that numerous people were present during the incident. Some individuals even commented on the events in the video.📹

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) is urging these individuals to step forward. Detective Superintendent Peter Lansdown stressed the importance of witnesses in such cases, stating that they are crucial for the police to reach an evidential threshold for charges to be made against the perpetrator. The police are grateful to those who have already come forward, but they need to build a stronger case to ensure justice for the victim.👥
