🚧 Owen Roberts International Airport short-term parking to close for lighting upgrade

The short-term parking lot at Owen Roberts International Airport is set to close for five days starting from Sunday. This closure is due to the Cayman Islands Airports Authority's installation of new energy-efficient LED lighting in the airport car parks. The new lights are expected to enhance visibility and reduce the airport’s energy consumption and carbon footprint.🌍

To ensure the safe installation of these new LED light poles, the car park will remain closed until Friday, 15 March. During this period, passengers and guests are advised to drop off and pick up at the kerb by the airport terminal or to park in the long-term parking lot. The airport authority has also advised travellers to proceed with caution at the airport terminal and follow personnel directions carefully when navigating the parking areas.🚗
