🚑 NiCE worker collapses and dies during morning briefing

A government worker, part of the temporary National Community Enhancement (NiCE) clean-up programme, died during a morning briefing on Monday. The local man's identity has not been disclosed as his family is yet to be informed. It was reported that the man collapsed during the briefing, following which supervisors called 911 and administered CPR until emergency services arrived. Despite their efforts, the man passed away shortly after their arrival. 🚑

The ministry responsible for public works extended their deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased and pledged full support during this difficult time. They also committed to ensuring the safety and supportiveness of all programme environments. A comprehensive review of the incident will be conducted to prevent similar occurrences in the future. The NiCE programme, initiated in 2015, employs local individuals who are unemployed for short periods to carry out clean-up and maintenance work in public spaces. 🏞️
