👨‍⚖️ McKeeva Bush denies historical sexual assault allegations

During his trial on Thursday, MP McKeeva Bush vehemently denied a historical sexual assault allegation. In a heated exchange with prosecutor Eloise Marshall KC, Bush claimed that the incident, as described by the woman, never happened. He accused the UK authorities of conspiring against him due to his political legacy and his past conflicts with the English and their representatives. Bush suggested that his accuser was a "sick woman" and accused the previous governor, police commissioner, and the Director of Public Prosecutions of using her to target him. 🏛️

Bush repeatedly denied ever being in a vehicle with the woman who accused him of raping her in the year 2000. Despite the lack of a firm timeline for when the alleged rape occurred, Bush stated that he had rarely been to the bar in question and would not have attended around that time. He also disputed the allegation that he had been driving a Ford Expedition, stating that he never owned that type of vehicle. During cross-examination, Marshall challenged Bush over his refusal to answer certain questions during his original police interview in 2023, suggesting that he was avoiding potential lies. 🚔

In response to the prosecutor's questions about whether he had ever been to the Sea Inn bar during the potential time of the alleged rape, Bush insisted that he had not been there in 1999 or 2000.
