šŸš” Massive ganja haul seized from George Town apartments

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) has arrested three men following a major drug bust in George Town. Officers seized approximately 450lbs of suspected ganja from several apartments near Seymour Drive in the industrial area of the town. The operation began when officers conducting enquiries in the area detected the strong scent of ganja emanating from a particular address. šŸ¢

Upon investigation, a man was seen attempting to discard an item which was later identified as a bag containing suspected ganja. This led to a search of his apartment under the Misuse of Drugs Act, revealing additional packages of ganja, and over CI$5,000 and US$800 in cash. The 57-year-old resident was arrested on suspicion of possession and intent to supply ganja, as well as possession of criminal property. Further searches led to the discovery of more ganja packages, bringing the total haul to around 450lbs. šŸ•µļøā€ā™‚ļø
