🔪 Man severely injured in machete attack in Camana Bay

A violent altercation in Camana Bay, George Town, resulted in a man being seriously injured after being attacked with a machete. The incident, which took place around 7:40pm on Saturday, is one of three violent incidents reported by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) over the weekend. The victim was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged from the hospital. The suspect, known to the victim, fled the scene before police arrived.🚑

The police were able to recover a machete believed to have been used in the attack. No other injuries were reported at the time of the incident. The RCIPS is now appealing for witnesses to assist in their investigation. In addition to the incident at Camana Bay, a man was attacked and mugged in downtown George Town early Sunday morning. On Saturday morning, another man arrived at the hospital with multiple lacerations and life-threatening injuries. The police are currently investigating these incidents as well.🔍
