32-year-old Gerardo Connolly has pleaded not guilty to charges of carjacking a Mazda from Kirk's parking lot on Christmas Day. Connolly, who appeared in Grand Court via video link from HMP Northward, is accused of committing the crime with an accomplice who remains at large. The victim was reportedly resting in his vehicle when he was awoken by one of the robbers, allegedly Connolly, who was armed with a screwdriver. A struggle ensued, during which the second robber started the car and both men fled the scene.🚗

The stolen vehicle was later found by police on Rock Hole Road with Connolly still inside. The second suspect managed to escape and has not yet been apprehended.
