šŸš” Man on early release charged with multiple offences including illegal firearm possession

A 32-year-old man from Bodden Town, who was on early release, has been remanded in custody after being charged with a series of offences. These charges include possession of an unlicensed firearm, following a police chase on April 23 in South Sound. The man attempted to evade a police vehicle checkpoint along South Sound Road, driving off at a dangerously high speed towards George Town. The police lost sight of the vehicle but later found it crashed into a wooden pole near Lakefront Drive. šŸš—

Upon approaching the crashed vehicle, the police saw the driver fleeing and attempted to apprehend him. However, he managed to escape the scene after struggling with an officer. A search of the vehicle yielded a handgun, a loaded magazine, live rounds of ammunition, a quantity of ganja, and drug utensils. The suspect surrendered himself to custody later the same day. He has been charged with ten offences, including two counts of possession of ammunition, possession of ganja with intent to supply, and other drug-related offences. He was also charged with dangerous driving and other driving offences. šŸšØ
