🔫 Man in Bodden Town charged for unlicensed air rifle possession

A 35-year-old man from Bodden Town has been charged with the possession of an unlicensed firearm, following a domestic incident. The police responded to a report on Friday, 1 March, where a man had allegedly assaulted a woman known to him, brandished a firearm, and made threats against her and a third party. The firearm in question turned out to be an air rifle. 🚨

Three days after the incident, police officers arrested the man and conducted a search of the address where the incident took place. They found the air rifle, which was subsequently sent for forensic processing. The man has been formally charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, causing harassment alarm and distress, and common assault. He made his first court appearance on Thursday, 7 March. ⚖️
