🔫 Man critically injured in weekend shooting in Grand Cayman

A man was seriously injured in a shooting incident during a violent weekend on Grand Cayman. The victim arrived at the hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning with a gunshot wound, as reported by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS). Police were alerted to gunshots fired outside a bar on Eastern Avenue in George Town around 3:00am on May 4th. Upon arrival, officers discovered several spent shell casings and were informed that the injured man had been transported to the hospital. 🚨

The RCIPS has launched an investigation into this shooting and another gun-related incident that occurred over the same weekend. In the second incident, a man was stabbed and another narrowly avoided a machete attack thanks to police intervention.
