🔪 Man convicted of murder in George Town bar brawl

Shaun Antonio Jackson has been found guilty of the murder of Randy Kelsey Robinson, who lost his life in a fight at a George Town bar earlier this year. Jackson was charged alongside Matthew Glasgow and Jonathan Alexander Woodhouse for the fatal incident outside the Caribe Café. However, the jury acquitted both Glasgow and Woodhouse of Robinson's murder. Woodhouse was instead convicted of wounding with intent, relating to the stabbing of a second man involved in the fight. 🏛️

Despite Jackson's initial guilty plea to manslaughter, the crown declined to accept it, arguing that Jackson, Glasgow, and Woodhouse had intentionally stalked and provoked Robinson before attacking him as a group. The case relied heavily on CCTV footage and the testimony of the second man, who survived the fight after being stabbed by Woodhouse. Glasgow, seen in the footage participating in the brawl, maintained that he was an unintentional participant in the rapidly escalating situation and had no intention of causing harm. 🎥

Following the verdict, Glasgow was immediately discharged by the judge, while Woodhouse and Jackson were remanded in custody. Woodhouse is facing a significant prison term for his wounding with intent conviction, while Jackson faces a life sentence for murder. Their sentencing hearing is scheduled for the New Year. ⚖️
