🚗 Man arrested for dangerous driving after injuring road workers

A 35-year-old man from George Town has been arrested on charges of dangerous driving after his vehicle struck two road workers on the Linford Pierson Highway. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the driver, moving westward, lost control of his vehicle at a roundabout. The car veered off the road, hit a light pole, and then collided with the two workers before stopping in the eastbound lane. 🚧

The two injured men were immediately rushed to the hospital. As of Wednesday, one of the workers is in a critical condition while the other is stable, according to the police. The driver was subjected to a breath test which turned out to be negative. Unofficial witness reports suggest that the driver may have been speeding and possibly racing with another car at the time of the accident. 🏥
