The Ministry of Labour has announced the appointment and re-appointment of fourteen individuals to the Labour Tribunal, in accordance with section 74 of the Labour Act (2021 Revision). The appointments, which have been approved by the Cabinet, are effective immediately and will last until April 30, 2025. This brings the total number of board members to 23, allowing for multiple panels to sit when necessary. The new board appointees include Nick Hoffman as Chairperson, Noel Webb as Deputy Chairperson, and Luis Hernandez, Gary Berry, Anya Rankin-Christian, Roxanne Basham-Ebanks, and Audrey Prendergast as Members.šŸ‘

Those who have been reappointed include Angelita Edwards, Cashema Clarke, Michelle Coleman, Nadine McBean, and Vincent Frederick as Deputy Chairpersons, and Pamela Duncan and Nanalie Cover as Members. The Labour Tribunal plays a crucial role in labour justice in the Cayman Islands, and these appointments were made to ensure that all vacancies were filled, thereby enabling a fully constituted Tribunal to manage labour complaints from employers and employees.āš–ļø
