🏊‍♂️ Jordan Crooks makes history, advances to 50m Finals in Paris Olympics

Jordan Crooks has made history as the first swimmer from the Cayman Islands to qualify for an Olympics Final. He showcased his prowess in the Men’s 50m Freestyle semi-finals, leading the race from start to finish. Crooks clocked a time of 21.54 seconds, outpacing even the Olympic record holder Caeleb Dressel from the USA by 0.04 seconds. 🏅

Earlier this week, Crooks became the third Cayman Islands swimmer to advance to an Olympics Semifinal in the 100m Freestyle. He then became the second Caymanian swimmer to advance to the Semifinals in multiple events at the Olympics. Now, in front of a packed Paris La Défense Arena, he has become the only Caymanian swimmer ever to advance to the Finals in the Olympics. The Finals are scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 2 August, at 1:30pm Cayman time. Crooks expressed his gratitude for the support and hopes to make his country proud in the finals. 🎉
