🚔 Illegal alcohol sales suspected at Seven Mile Beach

During a routine patrol at Seven Mile Public Beach, police officers arrested a 49-year-old man from Bodden Town on suspicion of insulting a woman's modesty. In an unrelated event at the same location, officers also confiscated alcoholic beverages from a cooler, suspecting they were being sold illegally. The police were initially called to the scene due to a reported disturbance. 🚨

Although the arrest and the seizure of alcohol were not connected, the police had reason to believe that illegal activities, including drug consumption and alcohol sales, were occurring at the beach. Despite conducting a search, no illegal drugs were found. The confiscated alcohol, however, was retained due to suspicions of illegal sale, although the police did not elaborate on what led them to this suspicion. 🍺

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) is now collaborating with the Department of Commerce and Investment and the Public Lands Commission to investigate the allegations of illegal liquor sales and the consumption of ganja at the location. 🕵️‍♂️
