🚨 Holiday weekend sees nine burglaries at local bars

Over the holiday weekend, nine separate burglaries were reported at commercial premises, with bars and restaurants being the primary targets. Two individuals, a 30-year-old man from George Town and a 41-year-old woman from West Bay, have been arrested and charged in connection with four of these incidents. They appeared in court on Wednesday and were remanded in custody. Investigations into the remaining five break-ins are ongoing. Police have urged business owners and managers to increase security measures, especially during the festive season and upcoming New Year celebrations.🔒

In addition to these incidents, the police are also seeking Rolan Welcome, who is wanted on suspicion of burglary. The public is warned not to approach him as he is considered dangerous. Another suspect, Antascio Rankin, turned himself in to the Cayman Islands Detention Centre on Thursday. He was arrested for burglary offences and remains in custody.
