The weather system, a moisture-laden upper-level trough over the northwestern Caribbean, is expected to bring thunderstorms and significant rainfall, with daily totals expected to be between one to 1.5 inches. The wind will be blowing from the south to southeast at five to ten knots, and the sea conditions will be slight to moderate with wave heights of two to four feet. The weather conditions are expected to worsen on Saturday, with a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon, which may become locally heavy at times. This could potentially lead to flooding in low-lying areas.
