Police in Grand Cayman are investigating a recent incident involving gunshots fired on the streets. The incident occurred near the Eastern Avenue and Godfrey Nixon Way junction in George Town in the early hours of Wednesday. Officers recovered an undisclosed number of spent casings and a live round of ammunition. No injuries were reported and initial investigations suggest that this incident is not linked to a recent shooting in West Bay. As part of their response, the police are carrying out heightened patrols throughout the Cayman Islands, focusing on targeted areas. They are also continuing their investigation into a shooting at the Ed Bush Stadium during a football game on Sunday night. Despite the presence of hundreds of people at the stadium at the time of the shooting, only a small number have come forward with information.
