🔫 Gunfire erupts in Cayman Islands entertainment complex

In a worrying continuation of Grand Cayman's growing gun problem, shots were fired in the car park of The Strand Entertainment Complex on West Bay Road in the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident reportedly occurred during a fight between at least two men, one armed with a knife and another with a firearm. The man with the firearm allegedly fired shots into the air. Police arrived at the scene around 2:50am on 21 September, finding several spent shell casings but no injuries were reported. 🚨

As of yet, no arrests have been made and it is unclear whether the individuals involved in the fight had left the scene by the time officers arrived. The George Town Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating the matter.
