A 56-year-old man from West Bay and a 47-year-old woman from George Town were arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning following a police raid on a house off North West Point Road. The raid resulted in the seizure of a gun, several magazines, and a quantity of ammunition. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) conducted the search under the Firearms Act, discovering a backpack containing the firearm and three magazines, including a standard magazine, an extended magazine, and a drum-style magazine. Two of these magazines were loaded with ammunition. šŸš”

Alongside the firearm and ammunition, police officers also discovered a bag suspected to contain cocaine and a smaller bag containing ganja. The exact quantity of these substances has not been disclosed. The couple was arrested on suspicion of possessing ganja, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and unlicensed ammunition.
