Liquor licence holders have been reminded that the sale of alcohol, music, and dancing are all prohibited on Good Friday in most bars and establishments. The only exceptions to this rule are hotels and restaurants that hold the appropriate licence. This restriction also extends to liquor stores, which will remain closed on Good Friday. Furthermore, grocery shops and gas stations with liquor licences are not allowed to sell any alcohol on this day. 🚫
The Liquor Licensing Board has specified that bars must serve their last drinks on Thursday night, ten minutes before the end of the establishment’s permitted hours. Music must be turned off by 11:59pm. Similarly, Music and Dancing licence holders must cease all music and dancing activities by 11:59pm on Thursday. No music playing or dancing is allowed on Good Friday. This restriction applies to all licence categories, with the exception of hotels, restaurants, airports, and 'port areas'. 🕛
