Central George Town experienced traffic chaos on Monday morning due to roadworks from the city's revamp project extending beyond the scheduled weekend. The road closures, including the junction of Edward Street and Fort Street, were supposed to end on Sunday. However, a late concrete delivery meant the works continued until noon on Monday, according to a release from the Ministry of Infrastructure. 🚚

The Central Business District Enhancement Project, a major infrastructure project under the George Town Revitalization Initiative, aims to improve the pedestrian experience, enhance the streetscape, and create a more vibrant and sustainable George Town.
