🚨 George Town man faces multiple grooming and assault charges

A 24-year-old man from George Town has been charged with 18 counts of grooming and indecent assault against three juveniles. The charges include rape, sexual communication with a child, meeting a child following sexual communication, and indecent images of a child. The suspect was already awaiting trial for a separate incident involving a fourth victim when he was arrested for these offences. 🚔

The allegations were reported to authorities in late 2023 when the mother of one of the victims alerted the police after intercepting communications between the offender and her child. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service conducted extensive inquiries involving over 13,000 messages across various communication devices, uncovering further evidence against the offender. The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was remanded in custody following a court appearance. 📱

Although the police had previously suggested that the man was linked to other suspected sex offenders who were allegedly luring teenage girls to a park in George Town, no other arrests have been made in connection with the grooming ring that the man is believed to be a part of. 👮‍♂️
