🚔 Fugitive arrested after threatening police with machete

32-year-old Gerardo Connolly, who had been on the run from the police for a week, was arrested on Sunday morning on Hawkins Drive in George Town. Connolly had jumped bail and was wanted in connection with burglary and robbery offences. The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) described him as violent. 🏃‍♂️

During his arrest, Connolly threatened the arresting officers with a machete and was combative, leading to additional charges of resisting arrest and causing fear or provocation of violence. He is currently being held in custody as investigations continue. The RCIPS expressed gratitude to the public for their help in locating Connolly. 🔪
