🚔 Four men face charges over 2023 Digicel store robbery

Four men, three from Bodden Town and one from George Town, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. The charges come nearly a year after an armed hold-up at the Digicel store on the waterfront. The men, aged 21, 22, and 28, appeared in court and were bailed to return on 14 May. The incident occurred around 5:30pm on 19 May last year, when two masked armed men entered the shop on North Church Street as staff were closing. The robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. 🚨

Shortly after the robbery, police officers located and recovered a vehicle they suspected had been used by the robbers. However, no arrests were made at the time. The reason for the delay in charges being brought nearly a year after the crime is unclear. The investigation continues. 🕵️‍♂️
