Police in the Cayman Islands have made an urgent appeal for motorists to avoid driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, following the arrest of four individuals on suspicion of drunk driving in a single morning. Two of the arrests occurred on Cayman Brac, where a 19-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were apprehended after a collision. The woman, who was driving under the influence, received minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The man, who failed to provide a specimen, was unharmed. šŸš‘

On Grand Cayman, a 52-year-old resident was arrested after police officers found him asleep at the wheel of a stationary vehicle. A breath test revealed his alcohol level to be over three times the legal limit. In a separate incident, a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and damaging property. He also attempted to evade arrest and was found in possession of a substance suspected to be ganja. Superintendent Roje Williams stressed the need for a change in attitudes towards driving under the influence to prevent further incidents. šŸšØ
