The Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) successfully managed a large bushfire that broke out between the Agriculture Pavilion and Pedro Castle Road in Bodden Town on Thursday afternoon. The fire was under control by Thursday night, but fire crews remained at the scene to monitor the situation and ensure the safety of residents and their property. Chief Fire Officer Randy Rankin assured that every precaution was being taken, and while a few hot spots remained, the fire had been effectively contained.šØāš
Although the cause of the fire has not been determined, CIFS reported that smoke might still be visible in the area until the remaining hot spots have completely burned out.
