She played a crucial role in the creation of the Health Care Decision Act in 2019, which recognizes advance care directives as a legal document. In her statement, McLean expressed her excitement about joining the Ministry of Health & Wellness and her commitment to improving the professional development of nurses and ensuring the highest standards of care in the Cayman Islands.
