š Gunman flees empty-handed after unsuccessful stick-up
Local authorities are currently investigating an attempted armed robbery that took place at a gas station on Tuesday night. The would-be thief, armed with a silver firearm and disguised in a mask and dark clothing, was unable to access the cash register and therefore fled the scene without any loot. The incident occurred at a gas station shop on Eastern Avenue around 9:50 pm. The suspect jumped over the counter in his attempt to rob the store but was unsuccessful in getting to the money.

No shots were fired during the attempted robbery and no one was injured. Furthermore, no items appear to have been stolen. The suspect made his escape on foot, heading east on Eastern Avenue. The George Town Police Station is urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward. Anonymous tips can be provided via the RCIPS Confidential Tip Line or the official website.
