🍾 Extended bar hours granted for New Year's Eve

The Liquor Licensing Board has announced that all valid license holders will be allowed to extend their operating hours on New Year's Eve. Despite the festivities falling on a Sunday this year, bars and nightclubs have been given the green light to remain open into the early hours of Monday morning. The board has decided that all license holders will have permission to sell alcohol and play music until 4:00am on New Year's Day. 🎉

However, licensees must adhere to the Liquor Licensing Act, which stipulates that the last serving of alcohol should be at 3:50am, ten minutes before closing time. Music must also cease at 4:00am sharp. All other licensing regulations will continue to be enforced. It's important to note that no extensions will be granted for Christmas Eve on Sunday, 24 December. For further information, the Department of Commerce and Investment can be contacted. 📞
