🏊‍♂️ Elderly tourist passes away during snorkelling trip in Cayman Islands

A tragic incident occurred in the North Sound, Cayman Islands, when a 71-year-old tourist died during a snorkelling trip. The police reported that they received a distress call around 2:10pm on Friday, stating that a man had encountered problems while in the sea. The elderly visitor was promptly removed from the water and onto the boat, where CPR was administered by fellow passengers as they made their way back to shore at Safehaven. 🛥️

Upon reaching the shore, emergency services were on standby to assist. The visitor was immediately transported by ambulance to the Cayman Islands Hospital. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of all involved, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital. This tragic event underscores the potential dangers of water activities, particularly for the elderly. 🏥
