🔇 Developer issued abatement notice for noisy construction

The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) has issued an abatement notice to a developer conducting noisy early morning construction at a luxury condo development site in North West Point, West Bay. The move comes after months of complaints from local residents about the disruptive work. There had been previous confusion about who has the authority to address such issues, but it has been confirmed that the DEH has the power to intervene in such situations.🏗️

Despite initial dismissal of the residents' complaints, the DEH took action after the developer notified homeowners of further early morning work scheduled for 18 April. DEH officials visited the site at 5:00am on the mentioned date to gather evidence of the noise nuisance. The abatement notice served to the developers stipulates that operations producing noise should not commence before 7:00am. The developers have agreed to comply with the notice.👷‍♂️
