The DoT has declined to disclose the costs associated with this promotional strategy. The department justified its decision stating that it often hosts influencers and journalists to highlight the unique offerings of the Cayman Islands and to gain exposure on various social media platforms. The choice of Mei Mei was based on her significant follower base, high engagement rates, and the fact that most of her followers are based in key markets for the Cayman Islands, such as California, Texas, Florida, and New York. 🎉

It appears that the DoT's US-based agency, Praytell, which recently secured a contract worth over $2.8 million with the department, made the generous offer.
