🚴‍♂️ Daring daylight robbery at Captain's Bakery

Authorities are currently searching for a suspect who carried out a brazen daylight robbery at Captain’s Bakery on West Bay Road. The man, described as tall and slim with a dark complexion, reportedly stole the cash register from the fast-food restaurant and escaped on a bicycle. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, with the suspect reportedly brandishing what appeared to be a silver handgun. 🚔

According to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS), the suspect entered the restaurant and headed straight for the restroom. Upon exiting, he approached the cashier, causing the worker to flee. The man then jumped over the counter, grabbed the cash register containing an undisclosed amount of money, and fled the scene on his bicycle. The police report did not clarify whether the suspect was masked upon entering the establishment. No shots were fired during the incident, and no arrests have been made so far. 🚲
