A 45-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman from George Town were arrested in the early hours of Monday morning after police officers caught them attempting to steal a car battery. The officers were called to Smith Road, near the junction with Hospital Road, following a report of two individuals attempting to break into a parked car. Upon arrival, the couple were found trying to remove the battery from the vehicle.šŸš—

Upon questioning and searching the suspects, officers discovered a cutting tool on the man and drugs and drug paraphernalia on the woman. The woman was arrested for drug-related offences, including cocaine consumption, as well as aiding and abetting in the attempted vehicle break-in. The man was arrested for attempted theft and possession of tools for theft. The vehicle owner was contacted by the police following the arrest of the couple.šŸ‘®ā€ā™€ļø
